The LakeArts Incubator was inaugurated at the Chautauqua Institution in June 2013, with participating artists from the worlds of music, art, dance, photography, and theatre. Artists came together to share their work, creative connections begin to emerge, and the stage was set for future collaborations. The 2013 Incubator retreat culminated with an outdoor workshop performance by the dance company, Buffalo Contact improv Jam wearing the masks created by international sculptor, Roland Gebhardt. Out of this retreat, the exciting new performance/exhibition, TROPHIES emerged. Featuring the sculptural masks created by Roland Gebhart, and the music of Moondog, performed by Lou Niccolia, TROPHIES will debut at the Erie Art Museum in Erie, Pennsylvania Gallery on February 8, 2014 and subsequently tour to New York, Los Angeles and internationally. The LakeArts Foundation supports projects in all stages of development from concept to workshop to performance. If you would like to be considered for the 2014 Incubator, contact LakeArts with a project proposal, video or photographic description.
