CREATING MUSIC FOR STAGE, SCREEN AND NEW MEDIA, Part I
A lecture/ demonstration with international composer Miguel Kertsman of
Tribeca’s Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Using video and film clips, musical instruments,
and sound equipment, Miguel will present a survey of music for the Concert Stage, Feature
Film and Television and New Media. Sound branding, live to film scoring, cell phone and
computer games are highlighted.

From the “Best of the Tribeca Film Festival,” this warm-hearted family adventure
was inspired by real events. 10-year-old Billy and his misfit friends on a winter
quest to set a Guinness World Record. A shocking discovery in the
snow catapults the three small-town boys into the spotlight.
Through a comedic series of stunts that eventually
threaten their very lives, the boys conquer schoolyard
bullies, unite their community, and discover that while
fame may be fleeting, true friendship lasts forever. Family event: Children Free,

12 Angry Men as a special bonus for Festival pass holders; individual ticket holders are
