Royal Scottish Conservatoire Presents: Vital Signs of the Planet

The Power of Music, combined with film and video images from NASA document the stories of climate change over the last 20 years on Planet Earth.  Natural and human activities have left their mark on Earth visible from space.  Views  of volcanoes fuming, hurricanes flooding, and wildfires sweeping across the landscape brings today’s challenges to audiences in Glasgow and is broadcast globally. 

Young artists, entertainers and leaders, all champions of the environmental movements, will tell their stories of climate change in a concert of music and images designed to inspire and motivate young audiences in Glasgow. The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Orchestra will join with internationally recognized Conductor Emil De Cou and the Global Climate Uprising Festival to create this exciting concert experience.

Concert highlights include premiere footage of climate change from NASA a message from the International Space Station and the Earthshot Prize, and appearances by Natasha Bedingfield and young environmental leaders from the most impacted areas of the world. 

The Talent

Mr. De Cou has worked with NASA for over 10 years, most recently for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing. Artists include Natasha Bedingfield and invited guests performing “Unwritten,” a greeting from Astronauts at the International Space Station, and young leaders delivering messages from the most impacted areas of the world.
